For the new Tait employee coming to work in Tait's Brisbane office, we want to make getting to know Brisbane as easy for you as we can.

With a population of 2.4 million people, Brisbane is Australia's third largest city and the Queensland state capital.

Located on the banks of the Brisbane River, it has a bustling central business district. Across the river, the city beach, riverbank promenade and South Bank Parklands are some of the city's most popular attractions.

Brisbane boasts broad cultural diversity and a rich and colourful history, and has all the attractions you would expect of a major capital city:

Nearby are a range of world-class beaches, river, rainforest and mountain experiences. Brisbane is an hour's drive away from the world-famous Gold and Sunshine Coasts, with rainforests and national parks also situated nearby.

Famous for its fantastic sub-tropical climate, Brisbane is a perfect place to spend time outdoors. Temperatures in Brisbane range from 18 to 30 degrees celsius in summer (December to February) and from 10 to 22 degrees celsius in winter (June to August).

All levels of education are well catered for, with an excellent selection of educational facilities, including the University of Queensland.
