Tait Radio Communications will speak about its Distribution Automation solution and wireless communications for the utility industry at the upcoming European Utility Telecom Conference (EUTC) in Madrid, 26th–28th October.
On Friday 28th, Tait Business Development Manager, Utilities, Simon Noon will take part in the "Wireless Solutions – Supporting Mission Critical Service" panel, presenting a paper titled "Secure Wireless Solutions for the European Utilities Environment", with a focus on Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) and privacy protection.
"The future challenges for communication solutions are wide in terms of maintaining resilience and providing data integrity. Different threats can affect the electrical networks, from terrorist attacks to local damage such as trespass or vandalism," says Simon. "During my presentation I will have the opportunity to provide insight into Tait's Distribution Automation solution, approaching the subject of CIP and privacy protection in the European utilities context."
Tait experts will be available for meetings and interviews throughout the three-day conference, which is being held at Madrid's Intercontinental Hotel.
EUTC 2011 will address the ICT issues facing utility companies as all sectors look to develop greater intelligence in core infrastructure networks. The conference will continue the theme promoted in 2010, in London, to explore the Evolution of ICT services and solutions which are capable of creating and supporting the Smart Networks required in the next five years.
