Tait Radio Communications hosted a record turn-out to the 2011 NZ Hi-Tech Awards Entrants Event in Christchurch yesterday.
The annual Entrants Event, held simultaneously across Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, announces the category finalists for the NZ High-Tech Awards later in May.
Tait Managing Director Frank Owen says, "The high-technology sector plays a significant role in the economic growth of New Zealand. As a part of that sector, Tait is privileged and delighted to be associated with an event which recognizes the continued excellence and success achieved across our local technology industries. Congratulations to all of the 2011 finalists."
Tait co-hosted this year's event at its Christchurch facilities with Duncan Cotterill, one of New Zealand's leading commercial law firms.
Attendees for the event hit record numbers and included Acting Minister for Economic Development David Carter.
Minister Carter thanked Tait for its role in co-hosting the event, remarking that Tait had an impressive history as a global technology exporter and that he looked forward to witnessing further global growth and success.
