Who would this role suit?
The Senior Embedded Software Engineer within the P25 Terminal Software Team plays an important role in delivering the firmware for the terminal radio products. Primarily, we value your proven ability to develop real-time embedded firmware in C/C+.
This is a hands-on role. The software development lifecycle will include design, implementation, integration, testing, manufacturing and field trialling. You will be working within a highly skilled & knowledgeable embedded firmware team. We work within an agile environment - there is frequent collaboration and peer-review.
What will you be doing on a daily basis?
- Capturing, analysing and documenting requirements (interfaces, functionality and performance)
- Implementation of firmware for P25 radio products
- Testing and debugging
- Integration of firmware with other system firmware
- Involvement in system integration and product testing
- Documentation of all activities to an agreed standard
About you:
- Strong C/C++ knowledge
- Communication protocol experience
- XML
- Linux development environments
- OOD knowledge and experience
- Experience with unit test frameworks
- Exposure to commercial product development
- Good analytical, integration, support, debugging skills
- Familiarity with common bench test equipment, including RF test equipment.
- Familiarity with Agile methodology
