About the role:
The role of Junior Test Analyst sits within the R&D Test Team. You will support multiple projects, right across the Tait product range, in the test phase. Your main focus will be on test design, test automation, test execution and maintenance of manual and automated test suites. You will be expected to become familiar with and apply a range of different test methodologies, including exploratory test methods, and apply these within a range of different test contexts.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop, setup and maintain automated systems for both hardware and software
- Setting up of test tools and test environments according to the provided test specifications
- Test design, execution, regression testing and exploratory testing
- Working with developers to identify and resolve issues
- Reporting on test results
- Preparing issue reports
About you:
- Hold a relevant tertiary qualification
- Existing programming experience (ideally Python)
- Embedded software experience (a University project is fine)
- Experience with a variety of test hardware (e.g. oscilloscopes)
- Experience with radio systems would be an advantage
- An ability to analyse and solve problems is a must to succeed in this environment
- Strong communication skills are also essential
- Previous exposure to Agile methodologies (e.g.SCRUM) advantageous.
