Tait delivers big at IWCE 2016

Friday, 18 March, 2016 – Houston, USA

Tait Communications will be showcasing the latest products in its complete line of P25 and DMR solutions at the 2016 International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE) in Las Vegas, March 21-25.

"The past year has been a big one for Tait's dealers, public safety and commercial customers," says Craig Clapper, President, Global Solutions and Business Development at Tait. "We have delivered an unprecedented number of new products in the last 12 month period."

Tait's analog simulcast to digital P25 migration solution called Analog Simulcast over IP (AS-IP) will take a centre stage on the booth at IWCE, giving critical infrastructure organizations and dealers the chance to explore how they can maximize coverage and future-proof their network. Analog simulcast can be delivered in a Tait IP connected TB9400 base station with no extra equipment, then can be software upgraded to P25.

Matt Gay, Deputy Chief of Maintenance for Madison County, said "the performance of our Tait system has far surpassed our expectations. We now have county-wide portable coverage that is completely seamless." Madison County are supplied Tait AS-IP by B&E Electronics.

"Tait AS-IP is an excellent option for Public Safety organisations who need wide-area, voted simulcast analog networks, but are considering a migration to P25 in the future." said Bruce Mazza, VP of Solutions at Tait. Built-in voting and simulcast features in the base station make it cost effective out of the box and seamless failover mechanism keep your front connected." Tait's legendary reputation for high-performance QS2 Analog voted systems has now taken a giant leap ahead.

Tait will also be showcasing its complete DMR Tier 2 and DMR Tier 3 portfolios, including the new slimline TB7300 base station with an energy saving 1U high design with powerful 50W coverage.

Tait's fleet management software, EnableFleet, and the Tait subscribers with intelligent over-the-air programming (OTAP) features, deliver configurations and firmware 10x faster than the competition, by sending only the changes. This minimizes network disruption and save significant overhead cost to update fleets.

In addition to AS-IP, Enable Fleet and OTAP, Tait has delivered P25 Phase 2 trunked LSM, P25 Access, a compact Phase 2 controller with server virtualization, P25 ARC4 encryption and Link Layer Authentication subscriber features, and our new DMR and P25 Intrinsically Safe terminals certified to the latest standards.

"As ever, we are delighted to be exhibiting at IWCE and look forward to giving organizations and dealers better choices and higher performance with the Tait product line-up," said Clapper.

Tait will be showcasing its new public safety innovations at booth #1545 in the Las Vegas Convention Center at IWCE.
