Join the Tait Research and Technology (R&T) team to experience cutting edge technology, apply and develop your technical and professional skill while working on Tait's new product and platforms along with Tait engineers.
You will be working with the Tait R&T team to create new applications on the Tait Unified Platform in the area of workforce management, asset management and worker safety. You will get hands on experience with real-world web and mobile application development along with testing and demonstration.
Tait produce solutions and applications for the mission critical market. New product platforms have been brought to the market during the past few years. These platforms are designed to unify different communication bearers, enable integration of multiple sensors integration and provide a processing platform for the creation of novel applications such as workforce management, asset management and worker safety.
You will be joining the Tait R&T team to create at least one new application to operate over the Unify Platform on the topic of worker safety/management. It is anticipated the specific focus will relate to a known issue that exists with a current client around pairing/association of different assets. This work will involve application s/w work along with testing and demonstration. Tait have established a number of application programming interfaces (API's) which the application can take advantage of. We routinely engage with clients to undertake a process of iterative application development for the purpose of calibrating the requirement. Mentoring will be given throughout the internship.
The ideal person will have a background in software engineering or computer science. Languages typically used include Java, C# and Python. Experience in Linux, web or mobile application development is preferred.
Our Clients protect communities, power cities, move citizens, harness resources and save lives all over the world. We work with them to create and support the critical communication solution they depend on to do their jobs.
Digital wireless communications forms the central nervous system of everything we do. We design and manage innovative communication environments for organisations that have to put their total trust in the systems and people they work with.
We make sure that public safety agencies have a wireless communication network that is robust enough to keep their front-line officers informed and safe. We provide solutions for electrical utilities companies that help them keep the power on. In short, we develop communications solutions that are used at the sharp end around the world.
This understanding, and our belief in championing open-standards technology, means we can give our clients the best possible choice and value to achieve the human outcomes they're driven by.
